  • Former Chilean World Cup coach dies at 72 (AP)
    Luis Santibanez, who coached Chile at the 1982 World Cup in Spain and led the national team for five years, died Friday. He was 72. Santibanez died of complications from a kidney condition, said Sebastian Ugarte, a doctor at the Salvador Hospital in Santiago. The ex-coach had been hospitalized for 10 days.
